The Mail Company has created a solution for receiving personal parcels at workplaces.
The reception of personal parcels in the workplace is a growing phenomenon. For many companies, this coming and going of packages of their employees is a good headache and already exceeds the shipments of the companies themselves. “In buildings like the Mapfre tower in Barcelona, 60% are e-commerce purchases made by employees,” says José Manuel Castellví, executive director and co-founder of the Catalan firm The Mail Company.
The company has devised a solution for the management of these shipments. This is a locker, which has been baptized e-Box, from which the reception, deposit and collection processes are managed. It is installed at the entrance of the buildings and, unlike other existing solutions in the market, allows you to manage any expedition, regardless of who the seller or the transport agency is. Currently, the company is manufacturing the first 80 units.
Created in 2000 by José Manuel Castellví and Luis del Barrio, The Mail Company specializes in consulting and solutions for digital transformation and documentary logistics. Both founders came from the world of messaging and decided to undertake on their own to technify and professionalize the sector. Its mission is to help its clients improve and streamline their business processes based on information and documentation management. Companies like Grupo Planeta, Naturgy, RACC, Mutua Madrileña, SAP, BMW or Heineken trust The Mail Company. Also buildings such as the World Trade Center, in Barcelona, or Las Mercedes Business Park, in Madrid.
The company operates in the Iberian Peninsula and has offices in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat, Madrid and Lisbon. Castellví explains that they have just started a project to license their technology in Italy, which the co-founder considers as the first step towards the internationalization of the company. With a workforce of 150 employees, The Mail Company expects to close the year with a turnover of eight million euros.
